Bilingual Patient Care Coordinator

The Patient Care Coordinator works to create a favorable impression with patients and guests and ensures that a high level of quality customer service is delivered.

​

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care

  • Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention

  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities

  • Maintain accurate patient medical records

  • Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members

  • The Patient Care Coordinator may also be responsible for handling all front desk duties for the clinic. This individual greets, schedules, checks patients in/out, answers the telephone, and routes calls appropriately. The Patient Care Coordinator works to create a favorable impression with patients and guests and ensures that a high level of quality customer service is delivered.

  • Obtains necessary financial, personal and/or medical updates. Enters all information accurately into the patients’ chart

  •  Ensures that HIPAA guidelines are followed

  •  Understands insurance benefits to effectively communicate to the patient

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual preferred. 

  • Minimum of one year of previous experience in nursing or other medical fields

  • Familiarity with medical software and equipment 

  • Ability to build rapport with patients

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
